There are times in life, where you need to stop doing whatever you’re doing and retrospect on how far you’ve come. There are times in life where you are compelled to think of about how much you have actually contributed to the society for the betterment of it. There are times in life when you need to look back at the various junctures you needed to voice your opinions on, but didn’t because you wanted to be on the safer side.
Life is what we make of it. And probably the biggest influence in our life is of the society that we’re part of. And while we constantly talk of it, of how it needs to change and how some people are taking advantage of it while making the majority suffer, how many of us actually walk the distance to bring a change, for a change? What we do is, we hope that people will rise from their slumber and change will come and keep talking about it all the time, where in reality, it only gets worse. I know I sound a little preachy at this moment but some things need be said for a clear conscience. And for me, this is my window.
Though at the beginning of things, The Indie Guy was an attempt to capture everything that was on my mind, for the longest time it had only been dedicated to satirical attempts at capturing day-to-day simplicities. And at this juncture when I look back, I am disturbed by the fact that the very ideology of the blog is unfulfilled. That I am yet to write anything on whatever is going on with the society. That I am yet to write on me.
Henceforth, The Indie Guy will also publish social, political and personal issues, along with the occasional satirical once, for a change.
Because change is growth, and growth is what everyone should strive for at all times.
